On Sunday the 17th of March Deon and Sean completed the Prologue of the Cape Epic arriving safely in Citrusdal. Deon has been fighting a serious virus in the lead up to the Cape Epic but still managed to place a good time with his team mate Sean Tickner.
All teams participated in the time trial of 22km starting and finishing on Meerendal Wine Estate, outside of Cape Town. Each team’s time in the prologue will add to their overall time and will be used to determine the seeding for the start of stage 1.
Deon is currently waiting clearance from doctors to commence stage 1 of the Cape Epic.
